Beyond The Door centers on Pedroso's paintings of solitary barns and farm structures set against wide, open skies. Rendered in acrylic with his signature palette of weathered reds, rusts, and unexpected color, the barns recur across the body of work like familiar characters, often accompanied by a lone animal figure in the grass and a fence line receding toward the horizon. The recurring red barn and its doorway, at the heart of the exhibition's title, become a quiet stand-in for solitude and comfort — Pedroso's continuing interest in what lies beyond the noise of daily life.
